Pistol - Holster Skills

In this two hour holster clinic we go over proper technique when drawing from a holster.  We will begin with a proper four-count draw stroke and show how efficiency of motion is the key to building a fast and efficient draw.   The class will culminate with practice drawing from the holster and placing accurate hits on targets ranging from 3-7 yards.  No prior holster skill is required.

Required Equipment: 

• Iron-Sight or Red-Dot Equipped Semi-Automatic Handgun (Red Dot needs to be zeroed)
• 100 Rounds of Ammunition
• 2 Magazines (more if your magazine capacity is 10 or less)
• Quality Holster & Belt
  Note: No SERPA or similarly designed holsters. No holsters with collapsible opening.  Must be able to re-holster one handed. 
• Magazine Pouch (Optional)
• Eye + Ear Protection
• Note Taking Materials
• An Open Mind

 Failure to bring proper gear to class will result in the student not being able to train with their firearm and forfeit tuition.

Drawing from a holster is inherently dangerous if done incorrectly. Those wishing to take this class must have taken a basic pistol class where basic firearms safety was covered such our First Shots class or similar classes like those given by the NRA OR USCCA to attend.  Please reach out if in doubt as to whether this is the class for you.
